I guess if I was going anywhere it would be the beach, and you can’t blame me. The Old Farmers Almanac predicted it would be one of coldest, wetest winters and the old farmer was right. It was. I thought the grey days would never end.
It was depressing. I thought, if it would just snow, instead of just this freezing rain, then maybe we could justify this misery. I mean a sunny apres snow day is way better than whatever this is. We huddled under a ton of covers, made fires and wore our footie onesies around the house. It seemed it would never end.
Most people go to the mountains or the seaside. (Seaside, that’s an old word) I understand the need.
Me? The bathtub. A super warm bath, bubbles, candlelight, something yummy to drink, soothing music, big thick fluffy towels, maybe even chocolate covered strawberries AND whipped cream. LOL 😂
But where should I go for this luscious bath?
Well, for public bathing I could go to Budapest, Hungary and visit, the Gellért Baths. The Gellért Bath opened in 1918 offering medicinal water treatments using the same deep underground springs the Knights of St John used in the 12th century, and later on the Turks to feel the invigorating powers of the mineral rich waters.
Wow! A giant public bath, very popular in Europe and in 1918 too, but sadly not for me.
Next, there are outdoor baths.
Believe it or not (sounds like Ripley’s) this is the “Fleming Villa” as in Ian Fleming famous, In The Goldeneye Hotel, in Goldeneye, Jamaica. It seems, Fleming spent many a day in the tub writing his sexy James Bond novels. Looks good to me, I really enjoy a warm outdoor shower after a hot day on the beach with the sun shining on me so why not a tub?
Ok, but what if I want ultimate privacy, exceptional luxury, a delicious meal, something bubbly a soft bed with tons of pillows AND a warm bubble bath with the love of my life?
It seems finding this perfect place is harder than I thought for a made to order bubble bath. (Not to mention the love part)
After searching the world (on the internet cool huh?) it seems in the old U S of A there is my dream bath This is the “Mission Suite” at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa, in Sonoma, California. It even has a fireplace! (which I forgot in my original order, already settling, that’s me)
This place has it ALL! The Room, Bed, Pillows, Tub, Food, Fireplace, a Spa all set in Wine Country (beautiful countryside) a short trip from San Francisco (awesome city) all I need to do is bring my beloved (and I already have him) and it’s guarenteed to lift any Blue mood or dark day!
I FEEL BETTER ALREADY !
